The change from Debian to Arch Linux went well with only a few hours downtime.
But I will go offline again soon, probably for some days, as I'm about to change provider again. The new provider is going to take over on 16 September. But it may take some time before all the nameservers get the new IP for my server. So its not my incompetence that is to blame if you are unable to reach the server for some days, but just the nameserver you use that is not up-to-date with my IP.
