The change to Fullrate ended up with a bad taste in the mouth, as you can read more about in Why Fullrate is a bad provider. One month downtime because your provider doesn't have a clue... It puts your temper on the test.
But something good will come of it. We change to Cybercity on November 5, then everything should be as it used to again.
The good that has already come of this mess is that I now am absolutely sure about how to use my cellphone as a modem. It's expensive but it works.
Some other good thing that has come of it is, that I found another thing to choose Linux distribution on: The ability to install without internet. The unlucky thing was, you see, that my laptop wasn't fully installed when the internet disappeared.
Arch Linux depends very heavily on the net for installation and I didn't have everything need to use the cellphone at the time, hardware or software wise.
I went on a trip to both Slackware
and Fedora
, before I once again settled in Debian
.
